AMERICAN EMBASSY BELGRADE CONDEMNS ATTACK ON SERBIAN POLICE

(Belgrade, August 4) The American Embassy in Belgrade condemns the attack on Serbian police encamped at Muhovac during the night of August 3-4.  Such attacks are not only reprehensible but also counterproductive: they threaten to undermine the process of reconciliation and the building of trust and confidence that has been underway in Southern Serbia over the last few months.

The Embassy expresses its sincere condolences to the families of those policemen who were killed or wounded.

AMERIČKA AMBASADA U BEOGRADU OSUDJUJE NAPAD NA SRPSKU POLICIJU

(Beograd, 4. avgust) Američka ambasada u Beogradu osudjuje napad na srpsku policiju ulogorenu u Muhovcu, noću izmedju trećeg i četvrtog avgusta.   Takvi napadi  su ne samo za osudu već su i kontraproduktivni, jer prete da podriju proces pomirenja i izgradnje poverenja, koji je u toku u južnoj Srbiji poslednjih nekoliko meseci.

Ambasada izražava iskreno žaljenje porodicama poginulih i ranjenih policajaca.
