AMERICAN EMBASSY BELGRADE REGRETS RENEWED ATTACK ON SERBIAN POLICE

The Embassy of the United States of America notes with regret the bombing of the police vehicle in Bujanovac by which two policemen where injured.  Such attacks run counter to all efforts to establish peace and development in Southern Serbia.

The Embassy has been working conscientiously, including through our assistance programs, with the Government of  Serbia and with members of both the Albanian and Serbian communities in the region in order to improve the quality of life for all.

We call on all to reject violence and to instead work together to build a democratic society and economic opportunities for the benefit of all citizens.

AMERIČKA AMBASADA U BEOGRADU PRIMA SA ŽALJENJEM VEST O OBNOVLJENOM NAPADU NA SRPSKU POLICIJU

Ambasada Sjedinjenih Američkih Država primila je sa žaljenjem vest o policijskom vozilu koje je raznela bomba u Bujanovcu, a od koje su povređena dva policajca.  Takvi napadi su u suprotnosti sa naporima da se uspostavi mir i razvoj u južnoj Srbiji.

Ambasada je savesno radila, zajedno sa vladom Srbije, kao i sa članovima albanske i srpske zajednice u regionu, između ostalog uključujući i svoje programe pomoći, da bi popravila kvalitet života za sve.

Apelujemo da se odbaci nasilje i da se umesto toga radi zajedno na izgradnji demokratskog društva i ekonomskih mogućnosti koje bi bile od koristi svim građanima.
