U.S. Government and Ministry of Justice Sign Cooperative Agreement for Assistance With Commercial Courts

On October 5, U.S. Ambassador Michael C. Polt and Serbian Minister of Justice, Zoran Stojkovic, will sign a cooperative agreement to enable U.S. Government assistance in the area of Commercial Court reform.

The agreement outlines the general terms for cooperation between the United States' Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Commercial Court Administration Strengthening Activity project (CCASA), and Serbia's Ministry of Justice.

CCASA is a three-year comprehensive program of technical assistance to strengthen the Commercial Court system in Serbia. It will include an extensive computerization component connecting all Commercial Courts through a computer network, and the development of an automated case-tracking system in two pilot courts in Serbia.

Press interested in covering the signing ceremony should be at the Serbian Government building, Nemanjina 11, no later than 11:40 on October 5.

VLADA SJEDINJENIH DRŽAVA I MINISTARSTVO PRAVDE POTPISUJU SPORAZUM O POMOĆI TRGOVINSKIM SUDOVIMA

Ambasador Sjedinjenih Država Majkl C. Polt (Michael C. Polt) i Ministar pravde Srbije Zoran Stojković potpisaće 5-og oktobra sporazum koji će omogućiti pomoć Vlade Sjedinjenih Država u oblasti reformi trgovinskih sudova.

Sporazum precizira opšte uslove saradnje između programa Aktivnosti za jačanje uprave u trgovinskim sudovima (CCASA) Agencije za međunarodni razvoj Vlade Sjedinjenih Država (USAID-a) i Ministarstva pravde Republike Srbije.

CCASA je trogodišnji obiman program tehničke pomoći koji će ojačati sistem trgovinskih sudova u Srbiji. Sastoji se od sveobuhvatne kompjuterizacije koja će povezati sve trgovinske sudove u jedinstvenu kompjutersku mrežu, kao i razvoja automatskog sistema za praćenje slučajeva u dva suda u Srbiji na principu pilot programa.

Štampa zainteresovana da prati ceremoniju treba da dođe 5-og oktobra u zgradu Vlade Srbije, Nemanjina 11, do 11:40.
