of America Ambassador Michael C. Polt Hosts Iftar Dinner On Monday, October 25, U.S. Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, Michael C. Polt, is hosting an Iftar dinner to observe the holy month of Ramadan with leading Muslim secular and religious leaders from throughout Serbia and Montenegro. An Iftar is the traditional breaking of the fast during Ramadan, the month that commemorates the revelation of the Koran to the Prophet Muhammed. The Muftis of Belgrade, Sandzak and Presevo, Minister Rasin Ljajic and the Mayors of Presevo and Bujanovac will be among those invited to participate with the Ambassador in this traditional meal. Polt organizuje Iftar večeru povodom svetog meseca Ramazana sa vodećim muslimanskim sekularnim i verskim liderima iz Srbije i Crne Gore. Iftar je tradicionalna pauza u postu tokom Ramazana, meseca u kojem se odaje počast otkrovenju Kurana od strane proroka Muhameda. Muftije iz Beograda, Sandžaka i Preševa, Ministar Ljajić i Gradonačelnici Preševa i Bujanovca biće među zvanicama koje će zajedno sa Ambasadorom prisustvovati tradicionalnoj večeri.
