U.S. Embassy and U.S. European Command to Conduct Seminar on Military Chaplains

The Embassy of the United States, and the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), in cooperation with Serbia and Montenegro's Ministry of Defense, will hold a three-day seminar on the role of U.S. Military Chaplains. The seminar will take place November 16-18 in Belgrade.

The purpose of the seminar is to orient Serbia and Montenegro's military on the purpose, functions and organization of the U.S. Military Chaplains' Corps. The topics will cover the day-to-day operations of a chaplain's office; introduction to various specialized services provided to the unit commander by a chaplain; the purpose and organizational structure of chaplains' support activities; and the interaction of differing denominational chaplains in the Chaplain Corps.

Local participants will be approximately 25-30 military representatives from Serbia and Montenegro's Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and other related services.

AMERIČKA AMBASADA I EVROPSKA KOMANDA SAD ORGANIZUJU SEMINAR O VOJNIM SVEŠTENICIMA

Ambasada Sjedinjenih Država i Evropska komanda SAD (EUCOM) u saradnji sa Ministarstvom odbrane SCG organizuju trodnevni seminar o ulozi američkih vojnih sveštenika. Seminar će se održati od 16. do 18. novembra u Beogradu.

Cilj seminara je upoznavanje Vojske SCG sa ciljevima, funkcionisanjem i organizacijom američke jedinice vojnih sveštenika. Teme seminara će obuhvatiti pregled svakodnevnih aktivnosti kancelarije sveštenika; upoznavanje sa specijalizovanim službama sveštenika za starešine jedinica; cilj i organizaciona struktura aktivnosti sveštenika; i saradnja sveštenika različitih veroispovesti unutar jedinice sveštenika.

Na seminaru će učestvovati 25-30 vojnih predstavnika iz Ministarstva odbrane SCG, Generalštaba i drugih sličnih službi.
