Ambassador and Mrs. Polt Attended a Microsoft Donating Ceremony
On October 27, 2005, the US Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, Mr. Michael
Polt, visited Novi Sad and attended a ceremony organized by Microsoft to donate
equipment to the educational center "Milan Petrovic", where 900 children
with various disabilities are taught. The ceremony is a part of Microsoft's
humanitarian action "Window into the World," where Microsoft and
its partners donate computers and software to help children with visual and
hearing impairments, or who are refugees or without parental care. Ambassador
Polt expressed his very strong support for the humanitarian activities of Microsoft
and applauded the company for its good corporate citizenship. During the ceremony
Mr. and Mrs. Polt presented a number of small gifts to the children. The ceremony
was hosted by Mr. Dejan Cvetkovic, Director of Microsoft Serbia, and was attended
by a number of Serbian government officials.
