Delegation from Department of Defense to Visit Serbia and Montenegro

A delegation from the U.S. Department Of Defense, led by Rear Admiral Donald P. Loren, will be visiting Serbia and Montenegro from January 10-14. The visit, which comprises the most senior delegation from the Department of Defense to visit Serbia and Montenegro since the resumption of relations in 2001, is coming to Belgrade and Podgorica as recognition of Serbia and Montenegro's commitment to defense reforms. During the meetings, discussions will be held on possible areas of further cooperation and ways to advance bilateral military relations.

Rear Admiral Loren is the Deputy Director for Politico-Military Affairs, Europe, at the Joint Staff. Also participating will be members from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, led by Mr. Alen E. Van Egmond, Director of Policy for Western Eurasia. The delegation will be visiting Serbian President Boris Tadic, Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior and Customs services.

DELEGACIJA MINISTARSTVA ODBRANE SAD U POSETI SRBIJI I CRNOJ GORI

Delegacija Ministarstva odbrane SAD koju predvodi Kontra-admiral Donald P. Loren
posetiće Srbiju i Crnu Goru od 10. do 14. januara. Ova poseta, u kojoj učestvuje delegacija Ministarstva odbrane SAD na najvišem nivou koja je posetila SCG od ponovnog uspostavljanja odnosa 2001. godine, dolazi u Beograd i Podgoricu u znak priznanja privrženosti Srbije i Crne Gore reformi sistema odbrane. Na sastancima će se razgovarati o mogućim oblastima buduće saradnje i načinima unapređenja bilateralnih vojnih odnosa.

Kontra-admiral Donald P. Loren je zamenik direktora za političko-vojne poslove Združenog Štaba u Evropi. Delegaciju će činiti i članovi Kabineta Ministra odbrane koje predvodi gospodin Alen E. Van Egmond, direktor političkog odeljenja za zapadnu Evroaziju. Delegacija će posetiti Predsednika Srbije Borisa Tadića, Predsednika Crne Gore Filipa Vujanovića, Ministarstvo odbrane SCG i Generalštab, kao i predstavnike Ministarstva spoljnih poslova i Uprave Carina.
