U.S. Embassy and U.S. European Command To Conduct Seminar on "Joint Headquarters Roles and Functions"

The Embassy of the United States, and the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), in cooperation with Serbia and Montenegro's Ministry of Defense, will hold a three-day seminar on Joint Headquarters Roles and Functions from February 22-24 in Belgrade. This will be the eighth seminar under the auspices of the U.S. Government's Military to Military Program. Roderick Moore, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy, will give the opening remarks.

The purpose of the seminar is to familiarize the Serbia and Montenegro's Ministry of Defense and General Staff officers with the roles and functions of a Joint Command headquarters in the U.S. military system. The topics will cover the missions of a joint command, functions of an action/staff officer, the coordination processes within and outside a joint staff, responsibility and authority of the chief of staff, and relationships with special and general staffs.

Participants in the seminar will be approximately 20-30 personnel from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

Ambasada SAD i Evropska komanda snaga SAD organizuju seminar "Uloge i funkcije združenih komandi"

Ambasada SAD i Evropska komanda snaga SAD (EUCOM), u saradnji sa Ministarstvom odbrane SCG organizuju trodnevni seminar "Uloge i funkcije združenih komandi" od 22. do 24. februara u Beogradu. Ovo će biti 8. seminar pod pokroviteljstvom vojno-vojnih programa američke vlade. Roderik Mur (Roderick Moore), Zamenik Ambasadora američke ambasade održaće uvodne napomene.

Cilj seminara je upoznavanje pripadnika Ministarstva odbrane SCG i oficira generalštaba sa ulogom i funkcijama Glavnog štaba združene komande u vojnom sistemu SAD. Teme uključuju poslove združene komande, funkcije akcionog ili štabnog oficira, proces koordinacije u i izvan združene komande, odgovornosti i ovlašćenja Načelnika štaba i odnose sa specijalnim štabovima i generalštabom.

Učesnici seminara biće 20-30 oficira ministarstva odbrane i generalštaba.

Zainteresovani mediji treba da dođu 22. februara u kasarnu Topčider, Gardijska 1, u Beogradu najkasnije do 08:30.
