Statement by Ambassador Michael C. Polt on Montenegro

The people of Montenegro have taken this latest step to implement their will, as expressed in their May 21 referendum. We encourage all parties in Montenegro to work to broaden the consensus on the way forward. We applaud the peaceful, democratic and transparent manner in which they are carrying out the process. The United States of America looks forward to continued friendship and cooperation.

Narod Crne Gore preduzeo je ovaj posljednji korak da primijeni svoju volju izraženu na referendumu 21. maja. Podstičemo sve strane u Crnoj Gori da rade na širenju konsenzusa na putu u budućnost. Pozdravljamo miran, demokratski i transparentan način na koji oni vode taj proces. Sjedinjene Američke Države se raduju nastavku prijateljstva i saradnje.
