U.S. Department of Justice Organizes Training on Leading Role of Prosecutor

The U.S. Department of Justice's Resident Legal Advisor's Office at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, in conjunction with ICITAP, ABA/CEELI and the Judicial Training Center, will organize a two-day training on the leading role of the prosecutor in investigation. The training, designed for prosecutors and police, will be held at the Hotel Park in Novi Sad on September 13 and 14.

The two-day training represents the continuation of the U.S. Department of Justice's support to the reform of the Serbian Criminal Justice System. It will contribute to the capacity of both the prosecutors and the police to implement the new concept of prosecutor-led investigation, as envisioned by the new Criminal Procedure Code. The training will include prominent experts from the US, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. It will also focus prosecutor-police cooperation, special investigative techniques, organizing cases, and drafting indictments.

This training, previously held in Belgrade, will continue throughout Serbia to assist in the implementation of the revised Criminal Procedure Code.

Ministarstvo pravde SAD organizuje seminar o vodećoj ulozi tužioca u istrazi

Kancelarija Stalnog pravnog savetnika Ministarstva pravde SAD pri američkoj ambasadi u Beogradu, u saradnji sa ICITAP-om, organizacijom ABA/CEELI i Pravosudnim centrom Srbije organizuje dvodnevni seminar o vodećoj ulozi tužioca u istrazi. Seminar koji je namenjen tužiocima i policiji, održaće se 13. i 14. septembra u Hotelu "Park" u Novom Sadu.

Ovaj dvodnevni seminar pedstavlja nastavak podrške koju Ministarstvo pravde SAD pruža reformi krivično pravnog sistema u Srbiji. Seminar će doprineti izgradnji kapaciteta tužilaštva i policije u primeni novog koncepta istrage kojom rukovodi tužilac, prema novom Zakoniku o krivičnom potupku. Predavači na seminaru biće eksperti iz SAD, Bosne i Hercegovine i Srbije. Seminar će se takođe baviti i saradnjom tužilaštva i policije, specijalnim istražnim merama, organizovanjem i prezentacijom predmeta i pisanjem optužnica.

Seminar o vodećoj ulozi tužioca u istrazi, koji je prethodno već održan u Beogradu, će u narednom periodu biti organizovan i u drugim delovima Srbije u cilju izgrađivanja kapaciteta domaćeg pravosuđa radi primene novog Zakonika o krivičnom postupku.
