U.S. Department of Justice Organizes Anti-Corruption Conference

The U.S. Department of Justice's Resident Legal Advisor's Office at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, in conjunction with ICITAP, and the Judicial Training Center, will organize an anti-corruption conference entitled "Challenges and Successes in Combating Corruption in Serbia." The conference, designed for prosecutors and police, will be held at the Novi Sad Fair Congress Center from October 31 to November 2.

The three-day conference represents the continuation of the U.S. Department of Justice's support to the Serbian anti-corruption efforts. The purpose of the conference is to present and discuss key concepts and issues for both prosecutors and investigators in criminal investigations of public corruption. The conference will include prominent U.S. and Serbian experts, dealing with anti-corruption investigations and prosecutions.

Journalists interested in covering the event should be at the Novi Sad Fair Congress Center no later than 0850 on Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

Ministarstvo pravde SAD organizuje konferenciju o borbi protiv korupcije

Kancelarija Stalnog pravnog savetnika Ministarstva pravde SAD pri američkoj ambasadi u Beogradu, u saradnji sa ICITAP-om i Pravosudnim centrom Srbije organizuje konferenciju "Izazovi i uspešni primeri borbe protiv korupcije u Srbiji". Konferencija, koja će okupiti tužioce i pripadnike policije, održaće se od 31. oktobra do 2. novembra u Kongresnom centru Novosadskog sajma.

Ova trodnevna konferencija predstavlja nastavak podrške koju Ministarstvo pravde SAD pruža Srbiji u borbi protiv korupcije. Cilj konferencije je da tužiocima i istražiteljima predstavi ključne elemente istraga i krivičnog gonjenja korupcije u javnom sektoru. Predavači na konferenciji biće eksperti iz SAD i Srbije sa iskustvom u istragama i krivičnom gonjenju u predmetima vezanim za korupciju.

Predstavnici medija zainteresovani da izveštavaju sa konferencije treba da budu u Kongresnom centru Novosadskog sajma najkasnije u 08.50 u sredu 31. oktobra 2007.
