U.S. Embassy in Belgrade Continues to Support the Development of Franchising in Serbia

Following the First Franchising Conference organized in April this year, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, is organizing the Second Franchising Conference in Serbia on December 18, 2007, which will take place at PKS’ premises. The title of the conference is “Franchising: a Step Further to Business Success”, with the main goal of providing further and more detailed information about the benefits of Franchising to the Serbian business community.

The Second Conference will be opened by the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Milos Bugarin, and Commercial Attaché of the American Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Cameron Werker. This conference will bring together a number of experts from Serbia and the region, discussing important topics, including: The Benefits of Franchising for Economic Development, What It Takes to be a Franchisor, as well as the Legal Aspects of Franchising.

This conference will also serve as an introduction to a large number of Franchising Seminars that will be organized in 2008, by the newly established Franchising Center within the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. This Center, whose opening was just announced on December 13, 2007, by PKS President, Mr. Milos Bugarin, and Commercial Attaché of the American Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Cameron Werker, was created following an U.S. Embassy initiative and will be fully supported by the US Commercial Service specialists who will join the PKS’ experts in spreading the knowledge about this business method throughout Serbia.

The U.S. Embassy remains committed to the development of franchising in Serbia not only as means of economic development, but also as a way to bring business opportunities to individual businesspeople and small to medium-sized companies in Serbia.

Ambasada SAD nastavlja da podržava razvoj franšizinga u Srbiji

Imajući u vidu ogromno interesovanje koje je izazvala prva Konferencija o franšizingu održana u aprilu ove godine, Privredna komora Srbije (PKS), u saradnji sa ambasadom SAD u Beogradu, organizuje drugu Konferenciju o franšizingu, koja će se održati 18. decembra 2007, u prostorijama PKS-a. Naziv konferencije je “Franšizing - korak dalje ka poslovnom uspehu”, a glavni cilj je pružanje daljih i detaljnijih informacija poslovnim ljudima iy srbije o ovom načinu poslovanja.

Drugu Konferenciju o franšizingu će otvoriti predsednik Privredne komore Srbije, g. Miloš Bugarin i trgovinski ataše ambasade SAD u Beogradu, g. Kameron Werker. Ova konferencija će okupiti veliki broj eksperata iz Srbije i regiona, koji će raspravljati o veoma važnim temama za ovu materiju, kao što su: Značaj franšizinga za ekonomski razvoj; Kako poslovati kroz franšizing; kao i pravne aspekte franšiznog poslovanja.

Konferencija će takođe služiti kao uvod u seriju seminara koje će organizovati novo-osnovani Centar za franšizing, Privredne komore Srbije u 2008. godini. Ovaj centar je osnovan na inicijativu ambasade SAD, koja će i u budućnosti pružati svesrdnu podršku njegovom radu, kroz učešće njenih eksperata u daljem širenju informacija o ovom načinu poslovanja kroz Srbiju.

Ambasada SAD u Beogradu ostaje posvećena razvoju franšizinga u Srbiji, ne samo kao sredstvu globalnog ekonomskog razvoja, već i načinu razvoja malih i srednjih preduzeća, kao i samostalnih preduzetnika u ovoj zemlji.

Novinari zainteresovani da izveštavaju sa otvaranja konferencije treba da budu u utorak, 18. decembra, u Privrednoj komori Srbije, Resavska 13-15, sala 1, prizemlje, najkasnije u 9:45 časova.
