Mrs. Polt and Mayor Bogdanovic Celebrate Sister School Relationship between Chicago and Belgrade

On March 28, Mrs. Polt joined Belgrade Mayor Bogdanovic in celebrating a newly-formed sister school relationship at Belgrade's City Hall. American students from Chicago's Ogden Elementary and Serbian students from Belgrade's Milos Crnjanski school attended the official event honoring the relationship between their institutions. Mrs. Polt encouraged the students to enjoy time together and have fun, as building these friendships will help develop cross-cultural understanding. The American students have attended classes with their peers in Belgrade, and are excited to tour Belgrade and learn about Serbia's culture and history. This one-week trip is part of the "Children's Horizons Opening in Chicago Education" (CHOICE) program. Belgrade is the newest of Chicago's 26 sister city programs.
