Ambassador Munter Visits the Belgrade Book Fair

U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Cameron Munter visited the U.S. Embassy Booth at the Belgrade International Book Fair on Thursday, October 25th. Ambassador Munter met with and read to a group of children from the primary school "Djura Danicic"from Perlez who were visiting the U.S. Embassy Booth during "School Day" at the Fair.

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to participate in the 52nd International Book Fair in Belgrade. Visitors to the U.S. Embassy Booth can browse the latest U.S. reference, literature, and children's books and get information about U.S. Embassy sponsored educational programs in Serbia, including the Information Resource Center, U.S. government sponsored exchange programs for students and professionals, and the American Corners. The Embassy is also sponsoring numerous American guest speakers, including American authors and specialists, who will conduct programs not only at the Fair, but also at American Corners throughout Serbia and at other local cultural and educational institutions. Among the guests are award-winning author William T. Vollmann and writer Debra Magpie Earling.

Ambasador Manter na Beogradskom sajmu knjiga

Američki ambasador u Srbiji Kameron Manter je posetio štand ambasade SAD na Beogradskom sajmu knjiga u četvrtak, 25. oktobra. Ambasador Manter se susreo sa grupom dece iz osnovne škole "Đura Daničić" iz Perleza koja su tokom "Školskog dana" posetila štand ambasade SAD i čitao im knjigu američkog autora.

Američka ambasada je zadovoljna što učestvuje na 52. međunarodnom Sajmu knjiga u Beogradu. Posetioci štanda ambasade SAD mogu da se upoznaju sa najnovijim izdanjima referensnih knjiga, sa delima američke književnosti i dečjim kolekcijama, kao i da dobiju informacije o ambasadinim obrazovnim programima, uključujući informacije o Informativno- referalnom centru, programima američke vlade za razmenu studenata i stručnjaka, kao i o Američkim kucima. Ambasada je takođe pozvala u goste mnogobrojne predavače, uključujući američke autore i stručnjake koji će učestvovati u raznim programima, ne samo na Sajmu knjiga, već i u Američkim kucima širom Srbije i drugim lokalnim institucijama kulture i obrazovanja. Među gostima su nagrađeni pisac Vilijam T. Volman i spisateljica Debra Megpaj Irling.
