Income Taxes

The Consular Section can provide you with ANY tax form that you may need. Tax forms that are in demand the most (1040 for overseas filers, extension forms, etc.) are always on stock in sufficient quantities. If you need a less common or more specific form, we can print it for you from the IRS' s web site on the Internet. If you have Internet access, you can access this site yourself and help yourself to forms and information. The address is:
www.irs.ustreas.gov

However, the Consular Section cannot be of assistance with answering specific questions as to how to fill out the forms or how to file. For that, you need to phone the Regional IRS Office located at the American Embassy in Rome, Italy. Their telephone number is 39-06-4674-2552. You can also contact them by e-mail at irsrome@usis.it
