U.S. Commercial Service Belgrade Promotes Serbia Throughout the United States

In January of 2008, the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade led a 65 member delegation from Serbia to visit The World of Concrete, one of the largest construction shows in the world. During their five day visit to the show in Las Vegas, the Serbian businessmen had the opportunity to meet with American producers and distributors and establish initial contacts for possible future cooperation.

Following this visit, U.S. Embassy Commercial Specialist Boris Popovski traveled to Texas where he visited Austin, Waco, and Dallas-Fort Worth to educate US companies about Serbia and promote business opportunities in Serbia. During his visit, Mr. Popovski met with a large number of Texas based companies and held several presentations highlighting the business climate and great potential of the Serbian market. Mr. Popovski also visited the Waco Chamber of Commerce, where he delivered a presentation on the Serbian economy to the most eminent members of the business community.

This visit was one of the more than dozen road shows that the U.S. Commercial Service has conducted over the past three years, in support of the U.S. Embassy’s goal to promote the Serbian market throughout the United States and further strengthen the commercial ties between our two nations.

Američka ambasada u Beogradu promoviše Srbiju u Sjedinjenim Državama

U januaru, 2008. godine, Trgovinsko odeljenje ambasade SAD u Beogradu organizovalo je posetu delegacije iz Srbije sajmu "Svet Betona", jednom od najvećih sajmova građevine na svetu. Delegacija, koje je brojala 65 članova, je u toku petodnevnog boravka u Las Vegasu imala mogućnost da se upozna sa američkim proizvođačima i distributerima, kao i da uspostavi prve kontakte za moguću buduću saradnju.

Po završetku ove posete, savetnik u trgovinskom odeljenju Boris Popovski je otputovao u Teksas, gde je posetio gradove Ostin, Vejko i Dalas-Fort Vort, gde je američke kompanije upoznao sa Srbijom i promovisao poslovne mogućnosti u Srbiji. U toku svoje posete, g. Popovski se susreo sa velikim brojem kompanija iz Teksasa i održao nekoliko prezentacija, ističući poslovnu klimu i velike potencijale srpskog tržišta. Gospodin Popovski je takođe posetio privrednu komoru grada Vejko gde je najeminentnijim članovima ovog udruženja održao prezentaciju o srpskoj privredi.

Ova poseta je jedna od preko dvanaest promotivnih putovanja, koje je trgovinsko odeljenje organizovalo u SAD u prethodne tri godine, u skladu sa planom američke ambasade o promociji srpskog tržišta u SAD i sa ciljem jačanja privrednih veza između dve zemlje.
