The United States Congratulates the People of Serbia on Democratic Elections

The United States congratulates the people of Serbia for their strong participation in democratic parliamentary and local elections.

The Serbian electorate has clearly demonstrated that its heart is in Europe. Serbia's citizens have spoken out in favor of a prosperous future inside the western community.

The United States looks forward to continuing to work with the Serbian people and its democratic leadership as the country fulfills the promise of October 2000. We are determined to remain engaged with reformers to help realize this vision.

Sjedinjene Države čestitaju građanima Srbije na masovnom učešću u demokratskim parlamentarnim i lokalnim izborima.

Srpski glasači jasno su pokazali da su privrženi Evropi. Građani Srbije opredelili su se za prosperitetnu budućnost u zapadnoj zajednici.

Sjedinjene Države očekuju nastavak saradnje sa građanima Srbije i njihovim demokratskim liderima na ostvarenju vizije iz oktobra 2000. godine. Odlučni smo da nastavimo da sarađujemo sa reformskim snagama u cilju ispunjenja ove vizije.
