U.S. Embassy Supports “Cat on the Hot Tin Roof” at Opera Theatre Madlenianum

The U.S. Embassy is proud to support the translation of the award-winning play “Cat on the Hot Tin Roof” by American author Tennessee Williams. This work received a Pulitzer Prize in 1955 and was made famous by the 1958 Hollywood film with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor. This play has been an integral part of the Broadway scene for decades.

With Ivana Vujovic as director and a wonderful drama ensemble, we are expecting that “Cat on Hot Tin Roof” will once again be a big hit in Belgrade.

“Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” is scheduled to open on October 22, 2009 at 7:30 p,m, at Madlenianum.

Ambasada SAD podržava izvođenje komada „Mačka na usijanom limenom krovu“ u Madlenianumu

Američka ambasada je podržala prevođenje nagrađivanog dela američkog autora Tenesija Vilijamsa „Mačka na usijanom limenom krovu.“ Ovo delo je dobilo Pulicerovu nagradu 1955. godine, a postalo je slavno širom sveta zbog holivudskog filma iz 1958. godine sa Polom Njumenom i Liz Tejlor. Komad je integralni deo brodvejske scene već decenijama.

U režiji Ivane Vujić i odličnog glumačkog ansambla, očekujemo da će “Mačka na usijanom limenom krovu” još jednom biti veliki hit u Beogradu.

Premijera je zakazana za 22. oktobar 2009. godine u 19.30 u Madlenianumu.
